Stuck on pick subtitle
Hey everyone,

I read through the bug page but I am unsure if this was covered or not. I am unable to proceed past choosing a language, and from what I can see there is no "ok" option for me to click. Some of the game is cut off but using windows preview I can see I am not missing anything I think.

My OS resolution is set to 5120 x 1440

Thanks all, really excited to play!

I am having the same trouble on 3840 x 1080.

So I think I found a workaround. Drop your desktop resolution down to a non widescreen format and you will see theres actually a confirm button below. Once you get past that, you can get into the settings and adjust the actual display in game and revert your desktop back to normal.

Only problem is I think you may have to set the time every time you boot the game, which is another screen where confirm cuts off in widescreen

Work around don't work for me. I get stuck on please choose subtitles and when I move the mouse or touch any key all I hear is a constant click and nothing moves. I've changed the resolution, reinstalled the game updated card drivers and can not get passed this screen. Shame.

Why is this a problem for end-users to fix on their own? Surely devs know that ultra-wide resolutions exist? They're not the most common but the enthusiasts (like us) are out there.

For me, it's 5120x1440 on a Samsung G9, Windows 11. I've resorted to use the dual-input option on this monitor and split each half into a separate "display" but then I'm running on literally half the screen. That's a less-than-premium experience I expected when building this setup.

I changed my res and now I get stuck behind select time screen. Why does it want me to enter the time anyway?!

This is now fixed in the beta build of the game. You can play on the beta branch, or it should work normally once the devs push the fix to the game.

Same monitor, same resolution. Once you get into the settings you can drop it down to a 16:9 resolution in game. half of the confirm button still cuts off and the top half of what you are saying is cut off but its doable.

Eventually you get to a point where the game literally tells you every time you start up, its going to give you an extra 2-3 start screens like this, and boy does it.

Very anti ultrawide atm :(

Thanks! Just tested the beta build on native 5120x1440 and the game actually scales to a 32:9 resolution with nothing cut off YAY!

Also other resolutions appear to be working normal as well, 16:9 and 21:9 not seeing anything cut off

Thanks for the fix!

For anyone else having the problem, this is what i did (I have a 49" widescreen monitor):

- Put this in your launch option to force it to lower the screen resolution so you can see all the buttons: -screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080
- Start the game
- You won't see a cursour so you're going to have to go through the start-up options without a cursor visable. It's a bit hard but totally doable.
- The cursor will show up when you've done that and ended up in the main menu.
- From the main menu go to options and set the resolition you want and full screen.
- Quit the game and remove the launch options.
- Start the game again and enjoy!

Hope it helps! :)
