[WIP] Complete list of Subweapons + Explanation on what each spell does
Since the game does a piss-poor job at explaining the magic (or, rather, does not attempt to do so at all), it's only natural that threads and comments like "What does X do?" and "Y seems to not do anything" are popping up every now and then.
I'm creating this thread with the intention of gathering every piece of info about the aforementioned magic in one singular place, so that folks here will have at least some sorta list to look into when in doubt. Wow, I'm so helpful, aren't I?

Keep in mind that everything described here has been discovered through a personal test run. As such, it's possible that I could've missed some effects on some spells that are not immediately obvious. Plus, for now I've included "Needs further testing" section at the end where I've put spells that I couldn't quite figure out (hence the "Work in Progress" in the title). If you have any information on those spells, or if you notice anything missing, feel free to comment and I'll edit the thread.

Now for the main event.

Books

Book of Pyro
Fireball: Pretty self-explanatory.

Book of Hydro
Burstball: Sends forward a small water bubble that deals "Hydro" damage.

Book of Geo
Geo Pillar: Summons a pillar in front of you that deals "Geo" damage.

Book of Anemo
Anemo Blade: Sends forward a spinning blade that deals "Anemo" damage".

Book of Curse
Toxic Fog: Releases a poisonous cloud in front of you that deals continuous damage to all enemies in its radius.
Dark Corrosion: A ground AOE that lowers an enemy's defense.

Grimoire of the Occult Prime
Ice Blades: Sends forward three iceballs.
Rapid Fireball: Sends forward three fireballs.

Scrolls

Scroll of Life
Soul Drain: Sends forward a projectile that deals "Soul" damage. Recovers some HP on kill.

Scroll of Pilliage
Midas Touch: Sends forward a projectile that deals "Soul" damage. Enemies drop a smattering of dews on kill.

Scroll of Thirst
Blood Sacrifice: Creates an AOE at your current location that deals "Soul" damage and inflicts the enemy with an effect similar to "Bleed". Both of these come in bursts - activating the scroll creates an initial AOE, then generates 5 additional AOE's for a duration of 5 seconds (so 1 AOE per second). "Bleed" effect works similarly, as in the enemy loses some HP each second for a duration of 3 seconds.

Staffs

Pyroblast Staff
Pyroblast: Summons a delayed firebomb in front of you. While delayed, the bomb deals miniscule damage to anyone in its radius. The delay is about 2 seconds long.

Frostbite Staff
Hydronova: Launches a flurry of hydro blades in all directions. 6 casts in quick succession per use. Works while you remain stationary, dashing in any direction interrupts the spell.

Earthshock Staff
Geofissure: Summons three Geo Pillars both in front of you and behind.

Stormfall Staff
Anemofury: Creates a tornado in front of you that deals continuous "Anemo" damage to all enemies in its radius. Lasts for 5 seconds.

Staff of the Occult Prime
Wind Walk: Increases movement speed. Lasts for 30 seconds.
Geo Downpour: Creates a portal above you that hurls boulders at the enemies. 10 boulders in total, for a duration of 10 seconds (so 1 boulder per second).

Wands

Sceptre of the Sage
Hydropyro Flurry: A 2-hit spell. Summons a scythe that deals "Pyro" damage, then shortly after a greatsword that deals "Hydro" damage. The scythe has a shorter reach than the greatsword, so landing both hits on a small enemy might be problematic.
Elemental Mastery: Increases "Pyro/Hydro/Geo/Anemo" damage. The buff is quite miniscule, and it seems to only affect Subweapons. Needs further testing.

Devil Wand
Baneful Deal: Increases "Main Weapon Attack" in exchange for "Defense".
Mark Offering: An AOE attack that deals "Soul" damage. On hit, marks the enemy. When the marked enemy is killed, releases a bunch of projectiles in all directions that hit anyone nearby.

Wand of Owl
Phantom: Summons a doppelganger that attacks 5 times from different directions. Requires an enemy being present on the screen.

Mysterious Rod
Equilibrium: Brings your current HP and MP percentage to a balance by sacrificing the resource that you have more of and replenishing the resource that you have less of. Bigger the difference, bigger the effect (e.g. using this with 100% HP and 0% MP will reduce your HP to 50%, but bring the MP back to 50%. Similarly, using this with 80% HP and 100% MP will reduce your MP to 90%, but bring the HP back to 90%).
Soulburst: Does a huge AOE damage at the cost of all your MP. Limited use.

Needs further testing

Scroll of Otherworld
Mystic Transformation: Temporarily raises max HP (?)

Crimson Wand
Bloodsucker: Same effects as "Soul Drain" (?)

So, what exactly does it mean? Do your max HP and MP become the same? Your current HP/MP?

Let's take my max stats, for example - 420 HP and 78 MP. How would "Equilibrium" balance them?

From what I could gather, if your HP is at 100% and your MP is at 0%, both of them will become 50% regardless or values. (320/320 and 0/20 becomes 160/320 and 10/20)

Numbers in between get even more in between (80% HP and 100%MP becomes 90 90)

Yep, that's how it works.

Neat! One less thing to worry about.

Sceptre of the Sage- broken btw
As vampiric wand? stuff? forgot what is it.

Thank you for this post.
There are definitely stuff devs did good job on the game, but at the same time, they didn't do such a good job on explaining stuff, including magic.
And they could've put in a buff timer. I have no idea if my buff is in effect, let alone what buff it is.

Crimson Wand
Bloodsucker: the projectile seems to grow in size and power the more it hits, not sure about HP recovery
