Update 1.1.1 is now rolling out across Rodovia! This patch brings a massive wave of bug fixes, addressing numerous community reports regarding scenario progression, AI behavior, and save/load stability.

Hotfix 1.1.1 Notes

AI & Hero Behavior

Party Attack Flags: Fixed a major AI issue where only the party leader would respond to Attack Flags.
City Loop Fix: Fixed an issue where party members would wander into the city while the party leader remained permanently stuck waiting for them to return.
Skill Purchasing: Fixed a bug where Druids would completely ignore the Tornado skill and fail to purchase it despite having enough gold and experience.
Guards: Fixed an issue where a guard would remain permanently frozen in place if their Guard Tower was destroyed.

Gameplay, Buildings & Balance

Spawners: Fixed a critical bug where certain enemy spawners would fail to summon any units.
Marketplace Workers: Fixed an issue where some worker points around the Marketplace were inaccessible, causing workers to fail their tasks.
Sewers: Fixed a bug that allowed Sewer entrances to be improperly built and stacked on top of one another.

Save/Load Stability

Critical Soft Locks: Fixed a major save/load soft lock that caused a wall of internal errors and incorrectly triggered the tutorial (even if it was disabled).
Missing Building Errors: Fixed internal errors related to object IDs occurring upon loading saves (frequently encountered in Burning Grove).
Untargetable Monsters: Fixed a rare bug where saving and loading at the exact moment a monster died would leave it stuck in an untargetable idle animation.
Sewers: Fixed a bug where saving and loading the game would alter rat nest positions and drastically (and incorrectly) increase rat respawn rates.

Audio & Visuals

Added missing damage and impact visual effects (VFX) to several newly added buildings.
Fixed some visual effects not disappearing properly

Scenario-Specific Fixes

Fixed an issue where completing part of a quest before officially unlocking it would fail to register retroactively.
Fixed a save/load issue causing already defeated enemies to respawn.

\[Night of the Fangs]

Mercenary Mission Balance: Significantly improved the mercenary side quest to make it more rewarding.
Fixed an issue where saving and loading during the "Defeat the pack" phase caused the Lord of Fangs to lose his damage resistance on subsequent spawns.
Fixed the invulnerability visual effect incorrectly remaining on the Lord of Fangs after the silver caravan arrives.
Fixed an issue where the dialog regarding the swamp artifact played its audio, but the text box failed to appear.

\[Lost in the Fog]

Fixed an issue where the vampire attack timer displayed placeholder text values after a save/load.

\[Burning Grove]

Fixed the final enemy waves spawning from only one location instead of the intended four indicated by map pings.
Fixed an issue where enemies would ignore and not attack the player's Dryad towers.
Fixed a save/load issue occurring after destroying swamp habitats that resulted in console errors and respawning already defeated enemies.

\[Sins of the Ancestors]

Fixed an issue where the Advisor would incorrectly speak the Berserker's lines if the game was saved and loaded at the very beginning of the scenario.
Removed an incorrect undead counter from the "Light the ritual bonfire" objective UI.
Fixed internal errors occurring when the player's castle is destroyed.

\[The Creaking Hut]

Fixed an issue where performing a save/load at the start of the scenario caused Baba Yaga's house to lose its buffs.

\[Cult of Shadows]

Fixed an issue where the "Forbidden Forest" quest remained in the quest log after completion and failed to register in the meta-progression upon finishing the scenario.

\[Gates of Hell]

Fixed the trigger size and position for the southern Obsidian Apex
Corrected a side quest description to clarify that destroying enemy habitats is required, not just killing the enemies.
Fixed a bug where demons retained the "War of Destruction" buff even after all Obsidian Spires were successfully destroyed.
Fixed the Scavenger's Spire failing to spawn Chomoks when attacked.
Fixed an enemy habitat that was spawning units in unreachable locations.
Fixed an issue where saving and loading before the Overlord's spawn caused him and his wave to appear without their intended buffs.
Fixed a side quest dialogue near the altar that incorrectly referred to the surrounding hostile spirits as "neutral".

\[Lord of Greed]

Ending Fix: Fixed an issue where completing the final scenario failed to trigger the end credits.
Fixed multiple script errors, NullReference exceptions, and incorrect defense flags on enemy habitats upon first loading into the scenario.
Fixed a critical soft lock and console error spam caused by saving and loading before the first attack.
Fixed a critical soft lock caused by Dargrothan's fire breath hitting the sewers after a save/load.
Fixed a bug where the objective to destroy Dargrothan's lair would incorrectly reappear after the dragon spawns.
Fixed an issue where Dargrothan's AoE attack could damage invincible Sewers, prompting missing-icon notifications and causing peasants to attempt impossible repairs.
Fixed a bug where saving and loading before the first attack permanently removed Dragrothan's invulnerability.
Fixed a bug where heroes recruited after completing side quests would not receive scenario-specific buffs if a save/load was performed.
Fixed missing sound effects (SFX) for Dargrothan’s attacks and impacts.
Fixed an issue where the narrator would still prompt the player to gather gold even after successfully delivering the tribute caravan.
Fixed an issue where Dargrothan's voice lines would incorrectly play while he was asleep.
Fixed dialogue issues where Dargrothan's lines were incorrectly displaying the Advisor as the speaker (and vice versa).
Fixed a visual bug where some Royal Guards would turn blue after completing the Guardian side quest.
Adjusted small tree assets near the castle that were blocking building placement and trapping heroes.

Greetings, Rulers!

We are deploying Update 1.1.0 today! This update brings another wave of crucial improvements to Rodovia, focusing on highly requested Quality of Life additions like the Restart Mission button, a massive save system refactor, new audio content, and numerous scenario bug fixes.

Update 1.1.0 Notes

New Features & Content

Restart Mission Button: Added a highly requested option to restart a mission directly from the in-game menu.
Time Manipulation: Added new time manipulation options to adjust gameplay pacing.
Save Recovery System: Added a new failsafe system to help regenerate and recover save data in the event of specific types of game crashes.
Mission Timers: Added visible UI timers to all time-sensitive missions, allowing you to easily track how much time is left to complete them.
Enemy Objective Trackers: Missions requiring you to defeat specific enemy groups now feature visual kill counters. Additionally, these objectives include clickable links in the UI to help you instantly locate and track the targets on the map.
New Audio Content: Added additional sound effects for all buildings and characters.

Gameplay

Alchemist Shop: Heroes will no longer attempt to buy potions that haven't been researched yet.
Party Gathering: Fixed a bug causing hero parties to gather in random map locations instead of correctly assembling at the Tavern.
Homeless Heroes: Fixed an issue where heroes were not properly assigned to the "Heroes without a seat" group after performing a Save/Load.
Monster Lairs: Fixed an issue where completely cleared monster lairs would permanently fail to respawn new residents.
Buffs & Spells:
- Fixed the 'Haste' spell not applying correctly to heroes.
- Fixed 'Tincture of Speed' lasting longer than intended (over 30s) and missing its duration indicator on the hero card.
- Fixed the Marksman's 'Puncture' skill causing internal error spam.
- Fixed an issue where Druid tornadoes could last indefinitely.
UI: Fixed a visual issue in the Royal Furnace where the Tier 2 unlocking requirement text was improperly formatted as part of the description. Fixed a visual bug where the Knight's banner would fail to disappear.

Balance

Resistances: Added missing damage resistances to various units and entities.
Wizard Technology: Corrected the research order of Wizard technologies.
Mausoleum Requirements: The Mausoleum building no longer requires a Graveyard to be constructed.

Save/Load & Stability Improvements

Save Data Refactor: Massively refactored how scenario data is saved, drastically improving overall save/load stability.
- ⚠️ Important Note: Saving and loading will work best on saves created in this new version. While we specifically focused on improving the loading of saves from ongoing scenarios, we strongly recommend restarting your currently active missions from the campaign panel to avoid any unexpected issues.
Tax Collector Bug: Fixed a bug where saving and loading the game would incorrectly spawn an extra Tax Collector for every Tax Center.
UI Soft Locks: Fixed errors and soft locks caused by clicking the "eye" icon on certain interface quests multiple times.
Fog of War: Fixed an error triggered by attempting to place a second attack flag on units hidden within the Fog of War.
Narrator: Fixed an issue where narrator notifications would incorrectly activate after a scenario had already ended.

\[Night of the Fangs] Fixed multiple save/load issues during the "Defeat the pack" phase that caused the Lord of Fangs to lose his damage resistance or fail to retreat when defeated.
\[Lost in the Fog] Fixed an issue where saving and loading after rescuing the first village would incorrectly fast-forward the Main Quest.
\[Infernal Pact] Fixed navmesh issues on the crooked path causing characters to get stuck on POIs.
\[Infernal Pact] Fixed the "Cover of Night" effect improperly remaining active during daytime.
\[Stone Gaze] Fixed a critical error causing a soft lock immediately upon starting the scenario.
\[Stone Gaze] Fixed an event bug where killing all Cursed Hunters triggered a resurrection dialogue even if their tower was already destroyed.
\[Stone Gaze] Fixed skill-related errors for Curse Hunters occurring after a save/load.
\[Sins of the Ancestors] Fixed console error spam caused by saving and loading after Day 3.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed a bug where heroes would randomly receive the "War of Destruction" buff from the start if the "Plaza of Glory" perk was active.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed an issue preventing the "Mass Grave" mission from ending.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed a bug where building a Trading Post before other objectives prevented quest completion.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed a bug where losing the Trading Post in the side quest prevented Druids from joining, even if the quest was completed.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed the final enemy wave scattering too much, making it difficult to identify the attackers.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed a specific Giant Cave spawning giants in unescapable map locations.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed an issue where fulfilling the Druid and Dryad side quest requirements failed to unlock the village.
\[Cult of Shadows] Fixed an issue where players starting with a Level 3 Castle would incorrectly spawn with only 1 Tax Collector and 2 Workers.
\[Lord of Greed] Fixed a critical soft lock occurring immediately after the first dialogue.

Greetings, Rulers!

We are deploying Hotfix 1.0.5 today! This update brings another wave of crucial improvements to Rodovia, focusing on scenario bugs, heros AI, save system stability for scenario events, and some Quality of Life additions.

Here is the full list of changes:

Hotfix 1.0.5 Notes

System changes

Building Placement Refactor: Completely refactored the building placement and collision detection systems.
Restricted Areas: You can no longer place buildings in unauthorized or inaccessible areas, such as directly on water (rivers, lakes), mountains, or dense forests.
Better shopping AI at blacksmith: Heroes will now make smarter purchasing decisions at the Blacksmith, evaluating their class, traits and current gear to prioritize the best available upgrades rather than spending gold randomly.

General fixes

Difficulty level change after load: Fixed an issue where the game would load incorrect difficulty levels for in-progress scenarios.
Equipment Purchasing: Fixed a community-reported issue where heroes would not buy Tier 2 (and higher) equipment from the Blacksmith despite having enough gold.
Arena Bug: Fixed an issue where the destruction or loss of an Arena building with the 'Recruit Training 1' upgrade would permanently break the recruitment level of all future heroes.
Twin Scenario Events Fix: Improved the loading logic for "twin events" (events with similar or overlapping triggers). This resolves conflicts in recognizing event states when some parts were already completed prior to saving.
In-Game Menu: Adjusted the scroll speed in the In-Game Menu for a smoother navigation experience.
Inn Interactions: Fixed an issue where heroes were not buying food at the Inn.
City AI: Added randomization to Hero AI behavior within the city for more natural outcome.
Resurrection Fix: Resolved an issue that prevented heroes from being resurrected after performing a Save/Load.
Collision Fixes: Fixed hero collision with various map objects that could cause them to get stuck while traveling.

Scenario-Specific Fixes

New Frontier

Fixed a community-reported issue causing an extreme and unintended enemy swarm around day 30.

Sins of the Ancestors

Fixed a bug where the lake would not visually freeze over.
Resolved an internal error and an infinitely looping Advisor dialogue that occurred after obtaining the White Wolf's heart.

The Creaking Hut

Fixed an issue where the "Escape from the Cauldron" side quest failed to trigger correctly.
Resolved bugs related to the activation and progression of the "Wellsprings of Corruption" (Yaga's health regeneration and habitats) side quest.
Fixed a bug where the dialogue about damaging Baba Yaga's hut would incorrectly play at the very beginning of the scenario.

Cult of Shadows

Mausoleum: Fixed a bug related to faction changing for the Mausoleum which might cause the Mausoleum to not function properly.

Crown of Greed

Ending Polish: Improved the campaign ending sequence by shortening the transition time and adding the correct, previously missing audio.
Credits Freeze: Fixed an issue where the game would freeze on the credits screen after successfully completing the final mission.

Important Note

As we continue our work to improve save and load stability during playing active scenarios, for now we highly recommend restarting your current scenarios from the beginning after updating to a new game version.

The game is basically a less polished majesty/Lessaria. Shame as its has potential but it seems super buggy
I currently have a full black screen on the save loading, so i've lost the 18 hour campaign that i've done so far.
The heroes themselves are buggy in their actions, for example a party of heroes (only 1 per inn which is annoying), will have their leader wait totally inactive, whilst the rest of the party run back and shop, then maybe they want to shop again, so they run back, i've seen one party not take any action for 10 mins of game time. The game needs portals or something to allow the heroes to run around. I've also seen heroes with 1000 gold just not buy any actual items, sometimes they fill up on every possible consumable, but just not buy armour or weapons.
Had a few broken side missions as well which has been a shame.

The last bug was the blacksmith upgrade for mythical weapons (4th tier), which i bought then can't actually use in game as it says i dont have it.

game could be good, just recommend waiting till they;ve invested time into making it actual work properly

Good ideas, bad execution. I like how the gameplay loop is supposed to work and when the game does work its really fun. You set up contracts where to defend, scout or attack and how much a contract is paying out and build up the heroes homebases with inns blacksmiths etc. when ever a contract is completed and paid out the heroes can buy potions equipment etc. You dont control the units directly but indirectly and its cool to see how it works out and the money invested back so you can re-invest in more or upgrades. Some of the quests make fun of other fantasy cliches or tropes and it reminded me a little bit of the wither series at a few points. The artwork too is nice (except for the advisor, not sure what to think about that...)

The problem is that the game doesn't work most. Heroes just "forget" the contracts they are assigned to, its almost impossible to create parties, quest triggers dont work, artifacts or mission related items either dont drop or can not be retrieved, many many times the scenarios load up in a broken state or the key inputs for some reason decide to quit. In general too many game breaking bugs at this point. At the time of writing this is version 1.1 but it feels like an early access game thats not playtested yet.

I like it but i can not recommend it in its current state. Maybe check this out in half a year or so. Maybe i'll retry this at a later point when major updates or dlcs come out but for now i'm done with this

The game had a rough start, but after few patches it's shaping up to be one of the best Majesty successors out there.

While it doesn't innovate much in the Majesty-like genre, it does however make up for it with great mission design, decent progression system and enemy unit variety.

It's clear that the devs put a lot of love in this game I am looking forward to seeing it getting patched and getting the recognition it deserves.

Can't pick up Swamp Artifact

How do you pick up the Swamp Artifact (side mission Secrets of the Swamp) once discovered in scenario Night of the Fangs? I lead my heroes to the cache via Exploration Contract or even Defense Contract, but nobody picks it up.

Cannot win mission with Dragrothan

I dont understand. i want ot finish mission but i cannot understand how. Map is clean dragon is fighting with heroes. 76 heroes attacked dragrothan but it have not got even scratch from them for 15 min....is it but or trick from devs?

That werewolf mission instant failure

You get a instant game over if that one caravan falls? They spawn a pack of werewolves right behind it! I put a defence contract immediatly but the caravan died before any of my dudes could get over there. What is this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
