Similar games you recommend?
I streamed this to discord and me and my friend played together and really enjoyed figuring out the puzzles and the story.

Are there any similar games you guys recommend where it takes us out of the game (like searching the internet and game files for clues, going to the twitter page, etc.), putting the pieces of the story together, and the game gives you a general "wtf is going on?" feeling?

there's a lot, so many it's hard to pick them from my mind. the term you'll probably want to search is "includes ARG elements."

and there are a lot, it was a pretty big fad in the early 2010's.

you've got your doki doki literature club, pony island, enscryption, god there's some good ones i know i'm forgetting.

Me and my friend played Doki Doki right before Where's Lila and we had a good time! I think I'll check out Pony Island because I see one of my friends has all the achievements for it, so it must be good. :luv:

the hex (by the same dev) is more linear but I definitely recommend it too. and obviously Inscryption is really good.

Who's Lila strongly reminds me of This is a Work of Fiction (https://armorgames.com/play/11103/this-is-a-work-of-fiction). It is a puzzle game but it deals with a lot of the same themes: human consciousness, conspiracy theories/cults, and it blurs the line between player and game in a similar way to Lila as well.

oh yea, it's a stretch but deadly premonition also carries a lot of the same lynchian feel.

and different kind of games entirely, but if you dont mind visual novels, "both ai: the somnium files" games revolve around themes this game uses. the catch is the first done some, the second does others.
IMSCARED will feel a bit simple after who is lila and due to its age, but it deserves a try https://store.steampowered.com/app/429720/IMSCARED/
