No longer works on steam deck

So after having beaten the game about 10 times on normal and even played through several times on hard, it's never had any issues until now. Now it seems the game will freeze at random moments when playing or when I start it up, it'll just hang on the health and safety warning and never go any further than that. Prior to this it ran fine, hell even my first few play throughs were on medium before switching to low for high FPS. What's the issue? Did valve push an OS or Proton layer update that broke support for the game? Just as a precaution I deleted all shader cache data and even made sure the game was running on steams current version of proton. Nothing seems to work and the game appears to just be borked.

Same here. Started up with the game 3 weeks ago and had no issues at all. Since a couple of days, not sure, maybe 3, I have these random freezes too. I'm in chapter 5 now, don't know if that has something to do with the freezes. I tested with different proton versions and also the beta channel. Even the factory reset I did. No progress at all.
Great game so far, but this is "a little bit frustrating".

It works for me, but a looooooot of stutters now. Weird, cuz there were no any stutters when i've bought it few weeks ago. But now it almost unplayable.

+1 refunded because of performance issues. honestly, the validated status for steam deck should be revoked for now.

I tried everything that I could outside of older version of proton. However I don't think this is an proton issue but instead an OS issue. Perhaps something broke it because only a few months ago there was talks about how much better the game ran after an update. Now it's just unplayable.

This is odd because the game hasn't been updated. Has to be something that changed with one of the recent Steam Deck OS updates.

My experience has been the exact opposite. It hard crashed left and right on my Steam Deck the first couple of days. I was having to save aggressively, and on the hardest run. Halfway through this week's session it randomly started performing more smoothly. It would still seize up but if I stopped touching the controls and let the lag get itself under control the game slowly stopped crashing all together.

Since starting New Game + the game has been running much more smoothly on my Deck. I've done nothing to my settings. This game is incredibly temperamental.

It runs pretty badly, either on PC or the Steam Deck, due to Denuvo.
