Kaspersky identifies Dead Space as Malware
and disinfects (deletes) the .exe

i wish i was joking, i've never seen a anti virus do that with a legit game, and for those wondering i got my copy with EA play pro

It has Denuvo and is likely using an updated version of it that the antivirus has yet to put in it's database as whitelisted. Try updating Kaspersky, it's possible they've already addressed it, if not they will eventually, you'll just have to add it to the exclusions list for now.

It's common for new games on Steam to get hit by heuristic detection, especially if the EXE was encrypted.
