Tanya Clarke, the voice actor of Nicole, is a good looking woman but ingame she does not look like her. In contrast to Gunner Wright, the voice actor of Isaac which was obviously assumed for facial design. This second step shows me that it was done by purpose.
I'm not troubled by Nicoles artistic interpretation. It's not relevant. But it worked, as intended, as marketing.

Yeah I think it's a pretty safe bet this game had some woke intervention. The main writer is a woman whose previous credits include Mass Effect Andromeda. And she's retweeting stuff from a "non-binary" person patting themselves on the back for seeing their writing in the game. Because everyone knows all the best writers buy into gender nonsense and immediately post clips of their writing in a game to their Twitter followers. You can just imagine the hiring practices going on there.
I mean Isaac talking to Nicole about his parents.
I mean ok she lashed out, but cutting the feed...really.
And at the same time when they are dealing with an actual physical threat of being ripped apart by space zombies they have the emotional intensity of drywall.
especially Hammond and Kendra, in the original they sound like two people struggling to keep it together from the start and in the remake at least the scenes I watched they sound like office managers getting told their floor is running out of printer paper.
They just used the mocap performance of the actual actor who played Nicole in Dead Space 2. You know what some fans appreciate. When the same actors reprise their roles. The fact claptrap was replaced in BL3 was just off putting and not preferred by me in the slightest.
Your are saying unattractive women are necessary for immersion because attractive women are unrealistic?
for the umptenth time the voice actress is more attractive than the ingame model and she isn´t reprising her role as she wasn´t the voice actor for the first dead space.
Lyari Limon was the voice actress and model for Nicole in the first dead space.
And you can do little touches on a in game model to make it more or less attractive and feminine, older or younger.
This was a choice to make her unattractive and nothing else.
And this isn't Dead Space 2. Even then DS2 Nicole and the VA herself look MUCH more attractive than this old hag in the remake.
You see, most of us were already quite immersed in the original. And not even a single idiot was thinking that their immersion would improve if Nicole was looking like a grandma, BECAUCE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH EFFING IMMERSION!!
Now... I understand you're trying to play devil's advocate, but your way of doing that is just trying to come up with all kinds of excuses and distractions. Or maybe you're just trying to farm for clown points. In any case you seem very disingenious, so don't expect me to take you seriously.
