NG+ with Master Override Security Clearance

I'm not sure it just me or a bug, does anyone start NG+ with Master Override Security Clearance in the key item inventory? It keeping me out to collect the "CUSTOM LOCKDOWN" log in chapter 7.

Your only hope is to collect no Rigs on your current playthrough, and do not initiate the Master Override side mission. Then, I'm told all you need to do is stand in front of a Master Override door without opening it until the log appears.

Did it work for you?
Still on my first playthrough, but initiated the side mission in Chapter 04 without knowing I can't get the log in Ch.07 then. Now I wonder what I'll need to do in NG+ to get it and if I can still get the Master Security Override on this first playthrough either way. :c
