Definitely. I've played the physical base game a couple time with my gaming group but the majority of my plays are solo. Plus there is online match making so you can play against real opponents either real time or async so lots of options.

Yessir! And if you have no mates to play with, I'd suggest to jump in a discord group such as Direwolf Digital's (https://discord.gg/cgQrP27J) or Pixelated Cardboard (https://discord.gg/DxARxykZ) where you'll surely find people looking for a friendly game!

I find only games with passwords. No open "rooms"? or do i something wrong?

Just uncheck 'show games with passwords' and wait a bit. Typically something will show up. Or just start your own and wait a bit.

Solo is very solid. Can always connect on discord, as already suggested, to find a few mates.

Non-password lobbies seem to fill very fast, which is why you can't find any. Just create your own.

I am having a very good time being thrashed game after game by the AI. They did a good job on this. I actually bought it thinking it was a remake of the old Avalon Hill classic. It's definitely it's own thing. No Dune RTS with the new movie release, but I am into this. The AI feels good without cheating. And you learn every game. Worth the money and hope for some quality DLC.

Yes, the AI is reasonably challenging enough for solo play. It's not perfect, but when you have nobody to play with the AI is a fine option; especially in comparison to other digital board games.
