Did this happen more than once? Is your connection stable?
Could you send a summary of this and player log to support@direwolfdigital.com?
I would request though, to extend the time frame or make less games a part of the events and challenges. One game takes 75-90 minutes on average for me. Needing to play 2x4 games for the best chances at succeeding at an event will be at least 10 hours, more likely 12-15. In a time frame of 48 hours, deducting time for sleep, maybe also participating in an active season additionally, this leaves barely any time for anything else and encourages 100% focused grind, without the chance of doing much else.
My proposal:
1. Extend the time frame to 72 hours for events, as it is with the seasons already.
2. Maybe decrease the necessary amount to 2x3 games?
3. For everyone who enjoys the event: once they finished their valid attempts, they can still participate, but will no longer earn points (maybe even creating lobbys for all the grinders, who finished their attempts, so they are independent of the active participants).
I really hope that you @DireWolf see and react to this, as I absolutely love this game. I am the first in line for any changes and additions coming up.
This kind of encouraging grind will separate people into to parties in my opinion:
1. casual participants, who are enjoying a game once in a while, but a not coming back for every event.
2. Grinders, who are putting an unhealthy amount into this game and might even suffer from this experience and burn out at some point.
In the future I would really love to see options for every kind of player. Encouraging the core community to invest time deliberately on special events. Different modes and challenges for casual Dune players and beginners (which you are doing already and I love it :D). And a balanced option for those people in between. Players who are generally invested, but do not have the time to play the game on a daily basis, but want to keep up with some level of competitiveness.
Thank you for reading and I hope this helps :)
