Is AI playing against human?

I did a few games and saw AI make moves against me, but not towards winning over other AI players. E.g., in the conflict being second most likely to win, AI played an intrigue card that removes a troop from one player and adds to this one. Instead of playing it against player who is the first likely to win(and get a chance to win the conflict as a result), it played it against me to put me on 4th place(which made no sense to lose it to make someone be 4th) Any thoughts on this?

It doesn't always make the most optimal moves, but I believe AI is playing to win.

Love the game and im hooked but I noticed this also. They went for me rather than stop the other AI from winning the game. This wasn't a smart move and also was frustrating and illogical. Love the product but would good to see this tweaked!

Yes, the exact same thing happened to me right now. Instead of going against the other ai player (which won the game after winning the conflict) the ai went against me, stole an army from me and keeping me from winning against the other ai player. What a bulls... and dumb playstyle only going against the human player just for the sake of it.

I've seen AI target other AI with that intrigue card, but the decision making is often hazardous.
