Local Multiplayer/Hotseat feature
Hi, Does this game have a local co-op/multiplayer/pass and play option, where two (or more) gamers can play a local multiplayer game on the same PC? Also, 2-3 human players on the same PC against 2/1 AI players?
If not present currently, will this be part of the roadmap, to be implemented during the early access phase, and be ready for launch?
Am sure there is a silent number of folks, who primarily play single player, or with other folks on the same PC, and this will be a nice feature to have, as a lot of turn based games on PC support this hot-seat/local co op/pass and play feature.

Thank you, and good luck with the Early Access phase. Hope to see this game be successful, so that the expansions are also hopefully in the pipeline and get developed later.

Not present and highly doubt there will be a hotseat mode as each player holds a secret hand of normal and intrigue cards.

This should not be an insurmountable issue. Maybe you have not seen how local co-op/hotseat mode works in games with a secret hand. Basically, each player will obviously not be looking at the screen on the other player's turn, and between turns, there will be an end turn button, after which the view will shift to that of the next player.

Yeah I've also seen some games do this as well.

I hope to see a Hot Seat Mode added sometime down the road.

I really want that. I have friends I would like to play a single game with, just to show them the mechanics. Doing it quickly on the computer would be the best way for me to do it.

Why not buy the boardgame to sit on the table to play the game with friends?

Because it's good to play this traveling on an airplane for instance

Yeah, this game sould really get a hotseat mode for local multiplayer, or steam remote play/parsec! Would definently buy it then!

lack of local multiplayer / remote play together support is why I haven't picked the game up.

Yeah, sure, having to look away is a bit clunky. You know what else is clunky? Trying to talk friends into buying a video game. It's EXTREMELY hard to do that when it's not something they already had heard about.

This exactly!

I'm just waiting for some game dev (or Steam) to realize you can output video to a second display at the same computer, and do two-player localplayer with screens facing different directions. Possibly in conjunction with sharing a virtual screen via Steam Remote Play Together.

If the Unity and Unreal engines (etc) put in built-in support for making that easy... that'd be cool.

note: Root Digital from the same developer has a hotseat mode, and players also hold a hand of cards there.

Great to hear a developer chime in on this.

Hopefully this hot-seat feature gets added soon.

Cheers!
Any news on local multiplayer?
