As general rules:
1. Always ambush the enemies to have the first move
2. Save often
3. If the enemy is too strong for your current party, run
4. If you really wanna go vs a though one, use tarunda on the enemy and rakukaja at least on Joker

You should be ambushing, every single time. Also try to find a persona with resistance to bless attacks.

It´s an early palace. you might not have that

weird issue again as even in Hard I had no issues.

Fusion is essential to procede in the game. Check the compendium and you will see unobtained yet Personaes. See if there is one that resists bless and fuse it

update: this time i ambushed him and got the first move but he still wiped my party because i couldn't do enough damage to kill him before my sleep debuff ran out
