I can't hang out with Ryuuji after confidant level 6
after I leveled up ryuuji confidant to level 6, I can't hang out with him anymore after i got the IM message from him about Yamauchi (before madarame), then Morgana says I have to be patient. is it normal, or there's specific event when I can hang out with him again? now my game date is on June 21st.

There is your answer. Ryuji also told you that he needed more time to get info for the confidant related events. June 21st is very early on anyway. You got like 5 more months to max his confidant.

He'll tell you he's ready later. Most confidants are similar and either require story progression or completion of a mementos request and/or a certain social stat level to progress further.
