I have reached the squid boss floor. The first time I visited I had 2 of the gemstones in my inventory. So it took them and gave me the edible version of them. I went back a couple of days later with the final gemstone. It was taken but the door didn't unlock because it showed the other 2 gemstones as missing above the door. I can't progress through to the boss now because I have no gemstones....
