Constant crashing
the game crashes constantly upon certain scene transitions, right now its at ghost house at the door where it says search for police informant, as soon as I click on the door - the screen will go black and then the game crashes to desktop.
i9 9900k rtx 4060 ti sata SSD - game runs fine for me otherwise.

4070Ti here, no crashes in 3+ hours of the Demo. Day one release and it's giving Fatal Error Crashes none stop. Can't play. Debating refunding Preorder.

I had the same issue. Located the .exe of the game > right click on it > properties > compatibility tab > tick run this program as an administrator > OK

So far, so good after that.

Switching from DLSS/FSR to TAA seems to fix it for me. At first, I had to lower my resolution and graphics settings to stop crashes... but now I can keep the higher resolution & settings with TAA enabled.

I've reached the Bank level. Still crashing after disabling DLSS. I'm not sure if changing every setting to minimum value will do something ... I prefer waiting for a fix.

I have a similar issue. It is really annoying for the game worked perfectly fine for me until the latest patch. After the patch I at first discovered a repeatable crash when giving cars tickets. Fortunately I had all other objectives done, so I got into the car - finished the stage. Next stage plays out fine at first. After meeting the "new guy" I am now stuck because the game crashes after the cutscene/at the savepoint.
Hardware: totally capable
Drivers: Up to date
Proposed fixes: Tried them all
Frustration: High

get a better computer and the crashes will stop. I have experienced no lag, and one single crash my entire playthrough.

Then he's just unlucky then.

If anyone is still experiencing crashes, try turning off DLSS and changing it to TAA. It worked for me.

Thank you Prockman!! I played first 13 hours with no issues, then it would crash after a certain point in the game (5 to 6 times after verifying files/restart). I thought I was doomed until I did what you mentioned. Now I am back to playing!

Same here, thanks!
You don't have to do ANY of this stuff btw.

Just move your installation to the same drive as your OS (C: in most cases).

Game Devs: if you unwind the crash minidump in windbg, you'll see the obvious glaring error :)
