CPU usage is 60%+ memory usage 40%+overall my CPU maxes out to 100% with just this game & OBS.. Cant stream it.
I am unfortunately not able to stream this game as my CPU usage skyrockets to 100% where 60%+ cpu usage & 3k+ MB memory with 125.8 MB disk usage and 10% GPU usage is just from the game. If i was to click go live in OBS i will lose frame rate & my NVIDIA Broadcast will break as GPU & CPU will now be exploding at 100% usage LOL..

May i ask what ryzen cpu you recommend? i have the amd ryzen 7 3700 8-core processor with rtx 3060 ti, 32 GB of ram, motherboard is ASUS ROG Stix 570-I mini-ITX . is my pc not good enough for this game? would upgrading to ryzen 16-core help in any way?

Thanks for the help !! im not super tech savvy

This game is just badly optimized. Even on the PS5. I would upgrade to a better CPU, but not for this game. There are better games coming soon, so think about that.

Don't listen to him. He's broke. On real PCs this game runs great.

Check that you are using hardware encoding in OBS, but at the same time note that will cut into GPU power.
This game runs smooth on my pc with an 11th gen i7 and 3079ti minus the occasional bad texture on environment. However HW monitor does show the processor hitting up to 112 %usage and 99 on gpu lol

Same here.. first time this happened and my rig is pretty decent... 64ram, i7 11k, rtx3070ti and its impossible to stream this game.... if I turn streaming off it actually runs OKish... the issue is when i try to stream it.

3080ti and i9-12900K here. I was trying to use Bandicam to record my gameplay but got similar issues to yours. Without recording I can reach 80 fps at 4K, but as soon as I hit record button, the frames dropped to 40, both my GPU and CPU usage were maxed out. Never saw anything like this. I hope the devs fix this soon...

If you want to stream the game see what your average fps is so if you average at 80 fps set an fps cap below that. Dx12 will use all processing power available which makes it hard to stream dx12 games. If you can keep your gpu usage below 94 % which is what a frame limit cap will help with it will stream better

EDIT: I lied LOL omgjdjd the moment I made it to the new world & had to fight the bear thing my stream crashed.. mannnnn.

Hey guys!!

I made it SLIGHTLY work! I can stream it on low settings this way with my pc build.

Game settings:
Display settings:
1920x1080p, 30 fps, vsync OFF, color filter option OFF
Graphics:
Presets: CUSTOM, Rendering: Variable Rate Shading OFF, Dynamic resolution OFF, Model Memory LOW, Texture Memory STANDARD,
Image Quality: AMD fidelity FX OFF, Nvidia Dlss OFF, Sharpness 0.80, Render Resolution 100%, Model Detail Level: STANDARD, Texture Filtering STANDARD,
Post Filters: Reflections/Motion Blur/Depth of Field/ Ray Traced Shadows/Ambient Occlusion/ Ray Traced Ambient occlusion/Anti-Aliasing ALL OFF, Fog Quality/ Cloud Quality/ Shadow Quality ALL LOW.

ALSO,

When you go to your game on steam in your library, go to properties, and find where it’s located in your files on your pc. When you find the Forespoken.exe file, right click and open as ADMINISTRATOR. this saved my ass while streaming this game too LOL.

Now I can play the game on lowest settings without it looking too terrible and also run Vtube Studio while streaming on OBS without crashing my entire stream.

Hope this helps someone in the same position as me!

Also thank you to everyone that responded on this thread 💗 appreciate everyone trying to help!

What's your OBS settings?
What encoder you're using? Nvidia NVENC or x.264?

I’ll check after work I believe it’s Nvidia NVENC

Hmm 100% CPU usage sounds a bit odd, since the game apperantly uses a few Threads only.
So the CPU usage must caused by something else, like CPU encoding or additional software running.

I'm currently playing the demo on a R7 5700. CPU load is at about 24%. and GPU at 98-99%
That's high, but nothing to be concerned about.

How does the game perform without streaming?
What streaming programm are you using? What resolution are you streaming on?
Are you using a camera? (that would cause additional CPU load).
What do you use NVIDIA Broadcast for?

Using DLSS would reduce the performance impact.
Unless you're Twitch partner there's no need to stream at 1080p, and even if you should use 936p instead. As a non-partner, use 720p at a good bitrate >4000

This might already take some burden from your System.
Not using cams or NVIDIA broadcast's video effects Like the virtual greenscreen)
should also save you some ressources.

Uses also 100% of a 9900k maxed out in 4k and 4090 in center Cipal
I read someone with a 13700k with 80% CPU usage
Same performance RT ON or OFF, DLSS or not in that area (worse with DLSS in fact because less smooth despite of the same FPS count)

So do not bother it is the game fault
