IT IS AMAZING

It looks really pretty. The character creator is fairly weak, not unexpectedly. It is probably the most watered-down version they have ever released. Remember Game Face, anyone?? This is nothing so complex. Basically, I have a dude with skin and hair colors that are vaguely similar to my own. Even the pros don't look very good. You certainly would never look at one of the pros in the game and think, "Oh that looks just like..." You are much more likely to wonder who it is supposed to be. The gameplay is strong IMO - there's nothing particularly new or exciting because a decent formula was discovered a long time ago and it still works. I can't imagine why you would change it. There are tons of options in gameplay setup as well. There are a lot of courses - nothing like the amount of user-made courses in PGA Tour 2K23, but these look much better and are much more fleshed out. The crowds are still not impressive, but they are the best crowds in a sports game I've seen. The biggest drawback for me in this game is that it was bought to continue a two decades-long tradition I have with a group of friends of getting together every Wednesday and playing a few rounds with our own created characters that actually looked a lot like us and building up our stats. That's not an option in this game, bizarrely. Only one created character can be loaded at a time. If you play local multiplayer, your only options are to have everyone use THE SAME created character or to use the pros included in the game. Frankly, that list is rather short and the pros all have a wide range of stats. If you want things to be remotely fair there, you also ALL HAVE TO USE THE SAME pro golfer with different colored shirts so you know who's shot it is. If you are just going to play online, this is probably decent. I wouldn't know. I don't play online. I play locally with my friends and for that, this game is not good at all and I do not recommend it if that is your planned way to play. Also, at least in local multiplayer, you can't see a scorecard that includes all the golfers at the same time ever. It just scrolls through the individual ones. I don't understand that. It's much more difficult to compare rounds.

It would be wonderful if I could load into a match. Can't even play the game. Typical EA, nice work!

PC Version, I have NEVER been so pissed off about a gaming purchase. The audacity of EA Sports to not only release this game but charge money for it is a slap in the face. The entire lobby menu is and has been broken for a year now. I mean it is so broken that it is unplayable. How they do not address these issues, tells me they DO NOT care about their customer. I will NEVER buy another game from EA on principle.

PC controls are terrible. As a person who has played many hundreds of hours of PC and console golf games, and is an avid golfer, this is perhaps the worst experience I have had. Especially considering how great the courses look and the amazing collection of courses.

Played through the first half of the career until the Masters. However when I started the Masters, I was unaware that my career settings completely reverted to default. Again. As the intro video started, the announcer began talking about "Augusta Sundays" and I immediately paused the intro. I was in the final round. For some reason the settings revert untouched, and now because I technically started the round I can not change it back to four rounds. I forfeited the tournament and now have to start all over or finish the rest of the career and start year two. Just so I can play the one tournament we all bought this game for. Fix the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game or at the bare minimum give us an ability to work around your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bugs.

I noticed there were a lot of negative reviews so I waited for the game to go on sale. I find this to be a great golf game. It is very challenging and can be frustrating, but so can actually playing the game of Golf. EA Sports did a fantastic job. Way better then 2k in my opinion. Only complaint I have is I do not have a controller for my PC so I have no choice, but to use the three click swing until I get a controller.
