ive watched a few people play on u tube and it just doesnt hit the mark with me for golf.. especially a sim type and career,, the putting especially with the little meter on the green..
very arcade very console -tiger woods 08 true swing you could actually judge your putts and swings by the distance of the club and mouse/trackball speed.

How many times did this have to be said before getting it…for those that know EA it was always going to be an arcade style ported to pc golf game that uses controllers to play ….that was and will always be their target…consoles and controllers…nothing new.

I have TW 08 on an older Win 7 PC. And on a Win 10, l have both 2K21, 2K23 and just played the April 3rd Deluxe release from EA. I've also owned Road to the Masters 12. My overall feeling is that 2K23 is my favorite bc l use mouse swing. If TW 08 had better graphics, I'd still be playing it. But I'll keep after EA PGA as a break from the others. My Cyborg controller will be used there. And maybe, as mentioned already, EA will get True Swing back in.

On the comments about EA and it's controller format, I feel that EA has decided to stick w/controllers bc when online, there is just too much controversy over controller vs mouse swing play when both methods are competing for the same prize. It's best to force everyone to use the same gameplay device or close to, thereof. I'm sure many of you have read the arguments in golf societies. Button players usually beat mouse devices.

PGA Tour 2K23 is targeted at the console normies yet they were able to include swing mechanics for the mouse. Mouse swing is such a basic feature for a golf game outside of the usual 2 and 3-click stuff people like. I am not using no dam controller when a mouse is perfectly suited for a game like golf. It's practically begging to be used for a golf video game.

Mouse swing was in every single OG Tiger Woods title (as far as I know, only played up to TW 08). I just don't get it. Are they ever going to add mouse swing as an update? I feel duped, and most stuff from EA is easy to overlook because people exaggerate things a bit (not a defense of EA, they just get undeserved hate at times).

This, however? EA has made dev teams put actual KB/M controls in all of their games since ever, yet this is the one they decide to skimp out on? No mouse swing is such a deal breaker. Yes I could use a controller but then I'd have a $100 Razer mouse and $200 Razer keyboard sitting there all sad.

And really, it's not on EA as they are just publishing this. It's more on the devs for not being experienced enough or being outright lazy. Oh well. Refund for now for when or if they come to their senses and add mouse swing.

All the versions of multiplayer have you unable to watch your opponent swing, everyone hits at the same time and it blows. There is no mouse involved in the swing if you don't have a controller, that's right, KB mashing to swing. You know what IS fully fleshed out in the game, the store where you can buy credits and tickets and pants that cost 5k in game currency. Electronic Arts is a venereal disease

Worst golf game EA ever released as the PC version is unplayable with keyboard and mouse. I think the devs only use a pc, keyboard and mouse to enter code rather than actually play the game they stuck us with this time. Keyboard and mouse were fully supported in the "Tiger Woods" versions so my question is, did they lose the code used to write it in earlier editions? Seriously considering a refund as this along with graphic stutters, the terrible computer generated voice and playability seem really lacking. It is either that or go spend money on a controller just to play one PC game. Come on EA, wake up and do some justice to the golf game you have previously made incredible by making this at least playable in a reasonably expected fashion. 40 years as a gamer and this is the worst keyboard layout I have ever seen with no possibility of rebinding the keys into something usable.

I think it looks stunningly better on my PC than on my XSX.
