Why are the reviews negative?

do you work for EA? there's is no online play today there was no online play last week either. I DONT WANT TO PLAY CAREER MODE FULL STOP (AND i DONT PLAY WITH AN AI pro) I love a good golf game - i hate that after paying 60 bucks to buy the game, along with the countless others who have invested in the game and EA cant be arsed to add any daily weekly or seasonal tour for a number of days after the last event

You are talking about The dailies and such NOT Online play! Online play is where you go to play others. The tournaments were down for a bit and they have been brought back up. I have e no clue where you got that they were down last week as I play them daily. I don't work for EA I just know what I am talking about. And as Blue has said posting your gripes here gets you nowhere...

Here is another reason why its trash...if you play a carreer round and win, when you go to finish the round and collect your trophy, if the unknown error is in active mode, it will not give your credit for win the round will be recorded as never played and you have to do it all over again,
I have learned the hard way, go first and see if you can play on line and if you get unknown error do not go over to carreer and play its all for nothing!

it is random generated it's not real physics, you can tell by how often you see the same outcome.

My negative review would be the game is too easy, aren't sim players saying with a little bit of stat upgrade missing the fairway is virtually impossible? I don't have the game and I'm reluctant in getting it because of so many people saying it's too easy even on its hardest difficulty. I'm a true sim player with 2K23, I play on Legend with green grid turned off and visual helpers off and and find it's a good challenge so I fear if I get this game it would be a boring snooze fest with how easy it is.

yup game way to easy and only stroke play with friends. bunkers and sand traps are like fairways. 0 math to hit your shot no loss on your clubs always goes the distance you aim. only way to get any kind of challenge is to play sim mode with 0 helpers. So from arcade to tour settings its 0 challenge. ball always goes straight(well at least as straight as it can go with the RNG) 0 timing in this game so no worries about shanking the ball.

Thanks, that's what I figured...its basically for casuals with arcady gameplay.

this yes, the game looks very good and that is its best feature, its way too easy, some
things are very unrealistic, it is EA so made for the casuals.
i say its fun to have some of the best courses in high detail, but thats it, gameplaywise
the 2k game is miles better.

Many have friends who have the game, listen to what specific things they say and you can get a clear picture

Cant play career mode due to error code 23. Thats the only reason to play the game and you can not do it.

I like 2K 23 alright. EA just never really fixes anything... they just draw things out until next season then dump a new version on you. I'm not taking the risk with EA anymore unless the reviews are over the top positive. Reviews as of this writing are mixed.

Forget about all the negative reviews this game is the best golf game for many years, yes it has some flaws and sometimes it takes 3 times to load but when on it plays fantastic,
i played the EA sports tiger woods golf many years ago and this is very close.
