2K is better, EA blew this

The game is playing itself… feels like its a freight train going fast down a hill

Why would you wanna aim your shot with the f***ing D-pad on your controller? I wanna use my sticks?!?!?!

Shot shaping is not fun, the games camera angles are so bad i get a headache. Why play agusta if i cant see the beautiful azaleas? Its so zoomed in and all you get if you zoom out is an overlooking angle of your player?

And is this supposed to be a simulation game? Well why the actual f*** would you create a game where you put spin on the ball MID AIR?!?!?! And even on the Max difficulty you easily play, but the wind gusts are brutaly unrealistic in my opinion.

This game is just so retarded, just makes me wanna play 2K23 even more where i can aim my shots wherever i want, with my sticks by the way, and apply spin to my shots BEFORE i hit the damn ball.

EA just cant compete with 2K in this, but apart from the things i listed that makes the game unplayable for me, it looks great and has potential but these things need to get fixed… Im not putting spin on my golfball while its mid air, i do it before and sit back and watch it fly!

I could only imagine this game with 2k’s cameras and spin mechanics, plus custom or better controls. I wouldn’t play anything else because that would make the GOAT golf game…

you van put spin on the ball, maybe learn how it plays really.
game is fun, dont take it too serious.

This is a breath of fresh air i hate the 2k golf games they are so boring and this is more like the old pga games we loved for so many years , its not ment to be a super realistic golf sim jus a fun arcade style golf which its always been as far as adding the spin mid flight i like it as you can adapt your shots dynamicly when you are playing them and also theres an option to remove the feature , The 2k game modes online are non existent you can never get a game and even the game modes suck , EA have a good game here and i hope they keep adding to it and making it better .

Is your main complaint that moving the aim is done by D pad and not stick? It took me a bit to get used to that too, but it's hardly a major issue.

You can change camera angles in the options menu, and you can always rotate around freely if you want to look around.

The options for mid air spin and putt lines can be disabled also - the "tournament" difficulty preset has these disabled. This is also the setting for online play.

You realize you can turn off in air spin control. You can make this as sim as you want. I play through the EA App as I have EA Play Pro, this is far better than 2k23

This game is so customize-able that almost all of your complaints can be fixed with the toggle of a setting.. there's also alot of freeplay with the camera if you know what you're doing so, you can see those azaleas. I think you just need to spend some more time in the settings and controls menus to see that this is more user error than bad design.

PC Golfers are very conservative and a new game needs time to be accepted. 2K23 is absolutely outdated and made without passion.

Ignore them as they haven't even played the game. Why would they buy a game they clearly hate!
I've played both and owned every 2k golf game. None of my 2k games are are installed and the ps5 versions were sold within a week.
Enough said.
I absolutely won't engage with the 2k addicts.
The ea game is very good by the way and it's still installed after 5 days.

It's certainly made a good start, imho.

I'm playing on pro difficulty, with spin turned off and it's miles harder than 2K23.....which ain't a bad thing.

It looks a lot nicer as well and it runs cooler on my 2080ti than 2K23 does.....then again, that uses Unity which is a resource hog....

2K is better than EA but that's like saying one piece of dog poop smells better than another piece of dog poop. Both are terrible companies who make games cheaply and then fill them with microtransactions despite selling the games for £60-£100.

Also Take-Two (Which also owns 2K) has been causing havoc for GTA modders by suing them, so they aren't much better than EA.

and can be a lot of fun with the right mindset..this mindset is the problem with a lot
of the gamers nowadays.

I never said the games couldn't be fun, but are very lazily made. I mean look at how FIFA and Madden haven't changed at all, and how awful WWE 2K20 was.
