Is it just me or does PGA 2K23 crap all over this game?

Pros
-much better gfx (PGA Tour gfx look a bit cartoony / fake)
-better swing mechanics
-more control over shot types
-better menus
-better commentary during the game
-better overall gameplay
-much better performance

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR

Pros
-better intro scenes on each course

Its just you, cause 5 of those 2k sucks very bad at in comparison, the lighting in 2k is crap, the tempo on the swing being wrong in 2k eliminates any valid points of swing mechanics for their game, its just a swing straight and hope you get proper tempo so your ball dont go 50 yards left or right...thats not how tempo works...tempo affects distance in real life not left and right.

Add to that 2k3 just felt like a cash grab from 2k2

I disagree with every point you made. To say the graphics are better.. idk if you need your eyes checked but this game is gorgeous while 2K looks old gen. Swing better, control is better, menus are WAY better, commentary is WAY better. 2k's commentary is AWFUL. Performance is the only thing I'll agree with, and hopefully that can be ironed out in time.

In short, I have no idea why anyone would choose to play 2k over this, but hey man, enjoy I suppose.

That must be a joke. 2K23 is outdated, stock courses are made without passion, objects and buildings are ugly and look always the same.

I must disagree with every Pros you gave to 2K23.
-EA Sports looks way better
-Swing feels better in EA Sports, tho I'm waiting for three click shot as they promised it after release in patch
-More control over shot types? Nah, can't agree here either
-Menus in EA Sports looks so good to me, tho sometimes they load a bit longer, not an issue tho.

-Much better performance. Yup can agree with that. The EA Sports fps aren't that bad on my laptop (laptop is not that great anymore), EA Sports just crashes sometimes, but it's not a big deal to me as it autosaves after every hole, I just open up game again.

yes, isnt it amasing quite afew user courses are way better than the default ones.
i keep playing both, 2 good games, both have some issues.deal with it and have fun.

Just gonna say it hasnt crashed on me and is way playable ;) start up crashes are almost always software related on the user end find the offending overlay/programing causing the issue.

A bit funny how people complain about crashes that much when they play Early Access. I'm sure they will fix them in patch after release. Every new game has a problems with crashes at release.

Its early access by 3 days. . .its not like it is in beta testing or something. The reason these games are trash on release day is because people like you refuse to hold them accountable. "It will be patched after release" How about having a working game on release day. . .then patch tweaks from feedback after release?

OP doesn't own the game, so a pretty ridiculous comparison.

But I own 2K21 and 2K23 and just couldn't stand to play them any more. They were really close to something I loved, but the random tempo misses is just frustrating.

I know when I play golf, I love to pull my club back super slow ...... then swing really really hard!! No bro, your assessment of the tempo is completely off. 2k nailed the back swing and down swing animations. Everyone steaming right now agrees.

No “bro” everyone has a bit different swing speed up and back…2k is trash if you fast or slow tempo it sprays left or right…that is NOT how tempo works on any swing…look at Charles Barkley old swing lmao so jacked up but could still hit a fairway. Last I seen a pro golfer swing it was constant smooth motion with acceleration on the downswing…not jamming the club back and forward as fast as possible…you also can’t pull a club back halfway to the top of your upswing and hit the ball full power while spraying 60 yards right cause you swung to fast. Learn how a real golf swing works “bro”
