In terms of difficulty, none of the courses are too bad after playing each of them for a several sets. Wolf Creek Club has some of the trickiest holes of them all though - the hilltop par 3 and the mountainside par 4, notably. Both of those can play to par more often than not. Kiawah Ocean Course also has one memorably awkward par 4 that can be difficult to reach.
Glad you mentioned the greens. In the practice mode it seems very simple to land on the green. When you're playing a tournament, the ball bounces off the green like you just hit a sheet of ice. Some of the puts are absolutely brutal. The ones that curve like a circle when you're 5 feet away is maddening.
All the approach shots were sticking to the green in Scottsdale and the short range putting was more or less dead straight.
Hardest, I'd have to say, is Augusta because putting there can be a nightmare. I'd never seen so many side-hill greens.
Pebble beach and Augusta are the best versions I've ever seen......in fact all the courses are the best looking, by a mile but that doesn't necessarily make a good game.
Luckily, the game play is fantastic as well (imho)....
That's the best score I've ever had in this game. Beat my old record in Oregon by about 15 strokes or so.
