A game made by checklist:

Castrated Doom Eternal combat-check;
Meta-progression (badly implemented, barely any toys are open initially, including only two weapons per each playable character) - check;
Minimal variability in runs (small number of claustrophobic arenas that are a poor fit for fast-paced gameplay + no option to plan a route ahead or even choose any route at all most of the time) - check;
Mid-run upgrades (mostly simple percentage increases to damage and defence) - check;
Voice-acting, because marketing says it should be included (completely unnecessary here) - check.

Wonder why didn't they stick crafting, base-buiilding and coop in here as well. Ran out of budget?

Got it in a humble-bundle, together with a heap of other shovelware. Not worth the money otherwise.

If you like a torturous challenge, snail-crawling progression, tedious grinding, mind-numbing monotony, playing the same song for hours and hours and love to go back to square one in eels and escalators then this game is for you!!! I'm not being sarcastic, I know there's people that like being tortured or like it when they get choked. It's okay. I don't kink shame. Though, if you do like those things about a game I would really, honestly, in all good faith, ask you politely to buy this at a great discount. From the price I see right now of $25 is just a bit too much for what it offers. But, again, if you're into suffering, then go ahead and buy it full price. I got this through the humble bundle for about $2-$3 USD, so I'm happy with the few hours I got to play it. I enjoyed the start and I really like the shooty gunny run 'roun' fun and love the rag dolls, but it just gets old extremely fast. Plus, I know there are different stages, but if it's going to be the same box over and over and over and over then I'm out. Different layout, but same arena box, cube thingy. I see a lot compare this to DOOM '16 or Eternal and yeah it's true, but at least there you had different arenas that you could play differently based on environments. P.S. Whoever thought of putting a timer to explosive barrels after shooting them needs to get fired. Love you all.
