I BEG you, please give me the map
I can't be the only one getting migraines trying to navigate this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥(beautiful) maze. Please just give me the map so I can talk with sisters instead of running in circles trying to find that one set of stairs.

Yeah, I think my biggest complaint is the waypoint system is migraine inducing, and while impressive, the Orchard just isn't fun to run around in at all due to being so ridiculously maze-like and confusing. It's impressive and I admire the craftsmanship put into it, I just in no way like navigating it at all.

I love it so much but it is truly painful for me to navigate. The chapter 6 is only a little bit better because it is smaller =)

Level design is great, environments are gorgeous, I love every centimeter.

I wish the way point system was a toggle rather then being forced to hold down the button to see it. But yes, a map is really needed. Its hard to find stuff at times, some levels are harder to navigate around then others.

Another issue with the waypoint system is if you set it to Toggle in the options menu it disables any time a text box is displayed.

Oh right, I didn't check the options, but that sounds like a bug, so hopefully the devs will fix that.

This is now fixed :)

Im playing rn on chapter 4 i don't see any map. Is the map in the current version?

The map is in, but it's still just a really awful experience. That main map single handedly ruins the game and stops me recommending it to people - you can't fix this with a 2D map, just go remove some walls and more doors and make stairs go to sensible places.

It's just a big loop with an upper and lower level. It's not difficult to navigate. The only minor things to keep in mind is to not bother with the super long ramps that cut across the orchard (unless you actually want to cut across the entire orchard) and there's that weird praying room that can only be accessed by the staircase in the center of the orchard. You can also completely ignore the underground area for most of the game. Everything else is just "follow the waypoints/map".

It's not, and it is. Hence the reviews saying it, hence the need for a post launch map. There's areas like the stairs that overhang the stairs that you get stuck under, the path around the garden that goes nowhere.

The residential landing that doesn't go anywhere else.

The second bar entrance that goes nowhere.

Two loops would be the ideal.

I already know what the map is like. I've 100%'d the game. If the bar didn't have a second entrance, it wouldn't be a loop. It would be a dead end. One side of the bar is near Principal's office and lead's toward BB's place. The other side of the bar is near the stage and leads toward Fixer's place.

There is one point later in the game where it becomes a dead end and there's a good reason for that. In fact, the massive inconvenience it causes says a lot about the motives of the people at that time but I'm not going to post spoilers.

There is nowhere in the orchard that you can get stuck unless you wander into the underground area and then realize there's not really anything down there at the beginning of the game. I already mentioned that, though, and it does become important later.
