Juicy update, but might wanna take a look at the disappearing chat bug. It happens randomly, I'd get a chat message from someone and it would auto close on its own and the other way around, clicking send a message would instantly close the chat box. Fixed by restarting Steam, pretty annoying in some multiplayer games where going offline and back isn't really an option at the time.

Have you tried holding down the power button and then hitting shutdown/Restart? Mine was doing the same thing, but that seemed to do the trick for me.

Ye it worked after restart but just went from desktop mode to game mode again fired up a non steam game & same thing happened during gameplay! No steam window & no quam window the ... button. Even restart didn't fix problem

If you have the security pin enabled, you can try disabling it and seeing if it'll work, I've found that enabling the "Before showing login screen" but not "On system wake and power up" will make it so the Steam and QAM menus don't show up when you press them, you can try getting it working by going to the wifi symbol on the deck ui and clicking it, that will get you to the menu and you can disable it. Reported it multiple times but still seems to be a problem.

Also here to complain about Steam/QAM buttons not bringing up their sidebars,

during beta period swapping back to stable always fixed it, and swapping to beta always broke it, now they don't work in any release

Ye switching from desktop mode to game mode is causing the issue for me. Have to restart everytime! That is mad annoying!

Ye just turned off the security pin for login & switched from desktop mode to game mode & I had no issue this time. Hopefully Valve sees this & fixes the problem now.

Anyone know & can confirm steam input now saving & deleting layouts is working correctly yet?

Steam & QAM works after removing pin login. Sometimes I have to restart again to make it work.

Fortunately everything works perfectly on my deck. I hope your problem will be solved asap

Please, please allow graphics tablet configuration in the input devices settings. I game with a wacom tablet in mouse mode for fpses.

steam button can't work and show on screen any more. plz fix it.

Finally a meaningful update for the stable channel, the long standing issue, non-steam games unable to change proton compatibility layer after launching until reboot/switch between game mode / desktop mode is fixed, still I wish Valve could work harder, taking like 3 months to fix a bug on stable channel isn't great.
