dpad input with keyboard works now but the mouse pointer disappears after closing the keyboard (ex google chrome). This is in gaming mode {not desktop}. Mouse pointer reappears after pressing ... button twice.

Keep the patches coming, Valve!
Love to see some movement on the whole EA Play shenanigans though!

"Fixed issue where transitioning from Desktop => BPM => Desktop would cause the Friends List to be signed out"

I still have issues with this even after the update.

Also, every time I go into the BPM and exit BPM, the whole Steam interface reloads and redirects to the store page.

Great update. Can we please have an option to manually move the onscreen keyboard around?

It seems this Beta broke the keyboard appearing automatically with some applications (tested with the non-steam shortcut "Discover". Previously, Discover would force the touch keyboard to appear automatically due to it handling XIM callbacks, and from what I guess is Gamescope processing that. This doesn't happen anymore).

Also some apps (chrome etc) no longer close properly. Just the spinning valve logo. pressing b will get u out of that.

Remote Playable games still don't show up in the library when "Ready to play" is checked in the advanced filters, and the filter to only show VR games is still squatting uselessly on prime real estate.

This update broke the on screen keyboard in the FFXIV launcher, I can no longer log in. The keyboard will not appear at all.

Why was the dualsense trackpad -> mouse emulation disabled? This was a very handy feature and is super annoying to have to hold the guide button to use the trackpad. Is there a way to toggle this auto-disable off?

the problem before was that the mouse emulation before overrode anything set from Steam input, so even if you were to set a different profile for the DS5 trackpad to do other things or turn it off, it would still be recognized as a mouse pointer device. They stopped that from happening.

they need to provide options for the input config used in the gaming mode, like SteamOS 2.

The on screen keyboard seems to be completely non functional in "game mode" via the Steam+X hotkey. It seems to still work in games, but even then sometimes it just ends up crashing. Totally weird stuff. I had to go back to stable because of this (which for some reason sent me "back" to a "November 11th" stable OS branch (which was never released????), but the keyboard hotkey worked fine again.

I wonder if Valve pressed the wrong button and the "stable" version it put me on was their 'intended' beta version?
I also noticed on this "stable" november 11th 3.4 OS that in desktop mode, "Input devices-->Game controllers" input test worked correctly again, while in the "beta/preview", the d-pad and buttons were mapped to GUI navigation, preventing the input test from capturing the inputs :(

Anyway,
You can bring it up manually by using the touchscreen on a 'typing' area, but I don't know if that works with client GUI's outside of the Steam client.
