Love to see some movement on the whole EA Play shenanigans though!
I still have issues with this even after the update.
Also, every time I go into the BPM and exit BPM, the whole Steam interface reloads and redirects to the store page.
they need to provide options for the input config used in the gaming mode, like SteamOS 2.
The on screen keyboard seems to be completely non functional in "game mode" via the Steam+X hotkey. It seems to still work in games, but even then sometimes it just ends up crashing. Totally weird stuff. I had to go back to stable because of this (which for some reason sent me "back" to a "November 11th" stable OS branch (which was never released????), but the keyboard hotkey worked fine again.
I wonder if Valve pressed the wrong button and the "stable" version it put me on was their 'intended' beta version?
I also noticed on this "stable" november 11th 3.4 OS that in desktop mode, "Input devices-->Game controllers" input test worked correctly again, while in the "beta/preview", the d-pad and buttons were mapped to GUI navigation, preventing the input test from capturing the inputs :(
Anyway,
You can bring it up manually by using the touchscreen on a 'typing' area, but I don't know if that works with client GUI's outside of the Steam client.
