Also, Nested Desktop is broken, would love to fix that.
i now need to manually define in an always-on command how touchscreen input needs to be handled, instead of it just working out of the box.
and changing the layout(or at least adding/editing a middle mouse click crashes the OS, triggering a reboot.
I know for exemple VLC Player can show HDR video as no-HDR so if steam can do the same it could be great. When HDR is enable then the video is close to useless unfortunately
Is this an adverse effect of trying to implement screen cloning in game mode?
Do you want the external output resolution to be Full HD?
If the external output resolution is Full HD, it seems that the internal screen resolution must also be Full HD.
For example, some 7-inch PC monitors can display 1920x1080 even though the panel resolution is 1280x800.
With Steam Deck, I don't know if this can be achieved by rewriting the panel firmware or if the GPU needs help.
If the internal screen resolution is fixed to Full HD, the touchscreen scaling variables should be simplified, and the infamous Steam Deck half rate shading and Magnifier display quality may also be improved.
