I think the slider is Not Good Option with external Monitor. Many Monitors Not run with 40hz. The Slider change fps+hz at Same Time but on external it is a Bad Idee.

Thanks Valve for the opt-out - I like changing the refresh rate but limiting the framerate with in-game or DXVK since that gives a lot lower input lag.

The new slider separate Not Fps/hz, but in System Setting you can disable this new slider Funktion.

"Unrestricted framerate" doesn't seem to actually allow fps to go above 60 fps. This bug has been present for a while now, but before, I could fix it temporarily each time I'd launch the game by dragging the limiter to 60, applying that, and then dragging it back to unlimited. This doesn't work with the unified limiter. I'll see if reverting to the old UI at least allows the old temporary fix to work.

This update caused my boot menu to get wiped, going to check if it also erased my hard drive later.

Considering at 40Hz mode I can tell that the screen is strobing with bright lighting conditions, I hope they are just doing half or quarter refresh rate framerate limits with a higher refresh rate (half and quarter is fine for framepacing on non-VRR displays) for stuff like that.

2 things from this patch
1- While the new slider allows you to do values from 10-30 and 40-60, would like if we can unrestrict it while also have it at, for example, 40, to reduce more input delays.
2- When docked, it breaks the slider. Cap 60 and unrestricted are the only thing it works, but allow tearing+Unrestricted don't play...to well.
---Suggestion: would rather have fps limit with values from 10-60 than locking the fps to the refresh rate of the screen, would be more convenient.
