New 4k TCL Smart TV won't display official Dock but only 3rd party ones

After getting a new 4K smart TV, I wanted to use the official steam deck dock to play steam games on the big TV, but after plugging it in and doing everything right the TV just says “no signal detected” I tried looking up any and all guides to fix this and there’s been nothing, when I booted up desktop mode the steam deck recognizes the TV, but the TV refuses to display anything on the steam deck. I even bought a $50 active HDMI cord thinking that could solve it but to no success. I’ve ran out of ideas, so I’m contacting you to see if you have anything that could help me.

oh and I used an old cheap unofficial dock and it worked without any problems, I'd use it but 1) I spent $80 on an official dock and I want to use it, and 2) the Steam Deck tells me that the unofficial dock doesn't change the deck fast enough to play

Same here. I figured buying their dock would be best option, but guess Ii was wrong. A lot of discussion out there about it not working with TV's.
