Any usb c hub has worked on my MacBook?

Honestly I loved the steam controller, and was disappointed to see it discontinued.
I use my controller daily to game, and even surf the web (with a heavily modified desktop configuration) from the comfort of my bed. I have even purchased 2 backup controllers for when this one inevitably dies and replacements become scarce.
@dock is obsolete; not obsolete just overpriced. It's not significantly outclassed by anything on the market; its just significantly more than competing offers.
That's funny. Businesses owe everything to their customers. Imagine having a business and no clientelle.
Valve didn't intentionally attempt to support my USB-C hub. Dumb devices, like a hub would work with any other compliant USB-C device, unless you're doing something unintended.
The one from JSAUX is amazing. It allows you the ability to use an M.2 SSD. For me, that's a selling point I can't ignore.
I'm like you with the Steam Controller. I have multiple backups at hand. I've had a 3D printer print the piece on the bumper that always breaks. Once my backups all break, I'm going to try these out and see if I can get them to work. Supposedly they are better than the original.

Steam Dock isn't obsolete it just offers a different feature set. As Toasta mentioned, steam deck supports dual monitor out with HDMI + DP. It also has faster USB ports.
I have another dock that lets me slot a microsd, and another that clips to the back of the steam deck but only has 2 x usb2.0. Great, docks are different, what an amazing discovery you have made.
The 20 dollar Chinese one I bought worked fine for what it advertised, only got valves because the former bottlenecks to 30fps output......
Well valves doesn't even work. It just displays no image on my TV and does absolutely nothing. I've tried everything and after 24 hours I finally got it display on my TV without cutting out to black every 10 or so seconds. I played 15 minutes of vampire survivors, and when I put the deck to sleep, I just knew it was gonna break again.... YUUUP, stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing is back to full black screen with no HMDI port register on either end.
The dock is Franky pathetic. It's 3 times the cost of the competition and the competitions docks actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ work with the deck, on like the original-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥-hardware made by valve themselves. Whata ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke....
