It's not the end of the world, but I do occasionally play Halo MCC from time to time and even the Steam Deck can crack 100fps on that game.
Since this setting worked before, it has to be something to do with either the updated graphics driver, or the dock firmware update. My desktop PC still outputs 1080p120 to this same TV just fine.
Reverting back to SteamOS 3.4.10 solves all issues for me, even with the new Deck dock firmware.
Reboot fixes the issue for me

Added VRR support.

Fixed issues with 6bpc color modes, improving high resolution/refresh mode support
Improves detection of HDMI cable hot-plug events
I have been trying to avoid upgrading Dock firmware this whole time. Its still at 0.13.15.108. Anyone test if it still has same bug? Because the 0.13.15.120 update broke my dock not only in steamOS but also when trying to use Batocera.linux. Tested it with HDMI on 1 gaming display and Samsung TV, didnt work with either one.
The problem with the dock is that we are not running the same setup as Valve. They test the dock on their devices and it works. When they release it, some other TV doesn't work.

HDMI 2.1 is broken on Linux due to legal issues with the HDMI committees aka HDMI love their DRM.
