Recognition problems while docked on a Samsung TV
Hi! I have an Oled version that I would like to use mostly while docked, with a controller. Sadly I'm having sooo much trouble to actually make it work :( I honestly thought it would have been easier (for example, even my old Microsoft Elite controller is not compatible and I had to buy a new one).

I use the official Steam Docking Station, but when I connect it to my TV (Samsung QE43Q60R) it has many problems being recognized and actually working. I sometimes have to do more than one try (turning it on and off again, unplugging and plugging back the dock station, etc...). I already tried different cables (now I'm using a HDMI 2.1 b cable, last generation).

Do you know if there is any solution? Do you think it's a docking station issue or what?

Also, do you know how can I increase the size of the stuff in the desktop mode, to be able to use it with 4k resolution? It's so small. In windows there's a useful scaling option in the display settings. I see an option here called "global scale" but when I change it, nothing changes.

Thank you in advance for your help 🙏

Well, maybe I've found some solution.

I'll put them here, in case someone else in the future with the same problems need them:

* for the Samsung TV problem: go to the settings on your TV ---> General ---> External Device Manager ---> Input signal plus ---> activate the HDMI port where the Steam Deck is connected. After that, it seems like it recognize the console more easily (I'm still testing it, though).

* for the scaling issue: it was indeed the global scale option in the display settings, but even if you do "apply", it doesn't show it immediately (I don't know why), I had to restart the console. After, it was indeed scaled.

* I also managed to improve the scaling of the task bar, because weirdly it doesn't scale with the rest of the things: you have to right click on it, select "Enter Edit Mode", then increase the "panel height". Luckily this time it will show it immediately the difference, no need to restart the device. I've put 110, which is big enough to be seen for the couch

I've also had connection issues and trouble with switching on the game mode for my Samsung S93C a few months ago.

Updating the Dock fixed all of my issues and it's been running fine for several months since then. Please update the Dock if you still haven't yet, I know it's a really straightforward answer but the solution could really be that simple.

I'm sorry if it doesn't work, I've got no other options in mind. Some people seem to think that the official Dock doesn't like to operate well with Samsung TVs. So it's either only the people who aren't updating their Dock who are also suffering from those same issues, or there's a real compatibility issue at hand.

Edit: I wouldn't know for sure though, simply doing an update fixed all my problems, and hopefully it will fix yours as well. Seriously hoping it'll be the fix you were looking for, and good luck.

Hi, thank you for your help. I actually already answered the same day, because I've found alone a solution :) my dock was already updated, so it wasn't that.
