Steam Deck

Steam Deck

Not recognizing USB A inputs
The HDMI, ethernet and charging work fine through the dock, but the USB ports don't
I can see power goes through them as it charges my phone and the mouse does get turned on as the red light on the bottom lights up, but none of the RGB lights up on anything and it recognizes no inputs, and doesn't detect anything plugged in
I'm not sure whether this is an issue with the Deck or the dock either, but the Deck doesn't seem to recognize the dock when plugged in (doesn't ask for an update, doesn't say firmware version in system/about)
I've tried damn near every fix I could find and nothing helped, if anyone knows what I could even attempt to do anymore

You could try your dock with another device, such as your phone. If the USB port works there, then your SteamDeck has a problem. Otherwise, there could be some damaged USB ports in the dock.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I'm going through the same thing

Ok, so what I've read and experienced leads me to belive ur haveing an os problem. I never experienced it but from what I understand, try run the newer channels on the deck open up developer mode watch some videos on external display issues and it will preolly lead you to your answer, I know thats not your problem, but it's all coming out one usbc port, so it all stems from the same thing. If you need further help I can try.
