Official Dock Massive Problems
Been having many issues with the official dock recently. Every 10 or 20 minutes (while on the dashboard, not playing a game) the video on the TV cuts out and shows only on the Deck. I can fix this by pulling the USBc power cord and plugging it back in, but that gets old doing it over and over again.

I had an Anker USBc hub lying around and hooked that up instead, and guess what? The video never cuts out, even when using the same Steam Deck power adapter. So something is definitely wrong with the official dock.

You are like one of the few people who describe a situation where the dock looses communication with the display. The most common issue with HDCP handshake errors. The TV refuses to display whatever the deck output. Your situation seems different.

You kinda have to list your TV because the stem deck is not detecting the signal.

Same does this with all my devices and not just the steam deck. Only solution i have found is to disconnect and reconnect until this issue stops. This can take 5 times or more. I also see no difference if i disconnect reconnect the usb at the top of the deck or the usbc power cable. Disconnecting and reconnecting either multiple times will result with the external display finally working. This issue started after the latest firmware update to the dock for me.

Probably not the same issue as the OP. OP's deck or dock actually loses connection.

In this forum, most people have HDCP issues where their TV just flat out rejects valid signals from the dock. You can tell because the deck believe it is connected to the TV but the TV shows a black screen.

Mine shows some white dots on black screen and cuts out audio and some times even Black screen without any image

Same problem here but only when starting the deck for the first time.. I've got a Samsung TV and it's a very common problem. The only solution is unplug the USB-C power cable from the docking and connect it again. Would be such a relief if Valve would come up with an update to solve the issue.
