Dummy HDMI Doesn't Work
Hello,

I have tried several different dummy HDMI adapters as well as a dummy DP adapter and I cannot get them to be recognized using the Steam Dock. They work find on other computers. I have tried SteamOS gaming mode and desktop mode. I have also tried dual booting Windows 11. At this point I am presuming this to be a Steam Dock related issue. I was wondering if anyone has some experience with this. Thanks!

There seems to be some very fundamental issues with the drivers or maybe even the hardware for video on the Steam Deck. I'm assuming you are doing this while docked. An interesting test would be to use a USB-C to HDMI cable directly to the Deck and see what happens, if you can get the dongle to work with that setup.

I've got a Github report opened here for my issues: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/SteamOS/issues/1161

Your problem is not the same as the OP. KVM switches is a complete mess on their own right, You will need to list what KVM switches you use.
