Disconnecting in Desktop-Mode can cause screen to never recover
Using Stable SD OS.

I have two monitors, and since the deck can have an HDMI and Display-port, that's how I use both monitors. Sometimes I disconnect and only use one monitor, to save device resource-usage.

When I use the one or two monitors, I usually turn off the SD screen, so it's not on at all. So the monitor is off. What happens is disconnecting one of the monitors when it's in the Deck Dock will cause the Dock to crash, then all screens go blank. I disconnect the Dock connection to try to just "restart" the Dock, but nothing happens. The Steam Deck screen is still off (even when Dock is disconnected), and nothing you can do to turn it on (from what I know).

I understand that probably disconnecting a monitor isn't ideal when the Dock is on and connected to the Dock. And instead just disconnect the Dock first, do the monitor disconnection, and then plug back in the Dock. But even so, this issue shouldn't happen.

Possibly fix on Valve's side that could work:

A script, whether timed or monitoring device connections, such as the USB-C cable going into the Deck from the Dock. When that gets disconnected for whatever reason, it will activate the screen to turn on. Which I feel like already happens anyway within the OS, but still. But something is obviously not launching for the screen to turn back on when this crash happens.

Thus, you have to do a force-shutdown.
