Dock only shows black screen on KYY Portable Monitor

The dock only shows a black screen on a portable KYY monitor when connected via HDMI.

- updated the dock to the latest firmware version (0.13.15.106). Deck is also updated (3.3.2/20221005.1)
- trying to connect via HDMI (dock) to mini-HDMI (portable monitor)
- in Game Mode both screens stay black when connected
- in Desktop Mode the Steam deck screen switches to a strange resolution, portable monitor stays black. Desktop display settings do show the portable monitor is recognized as a display
- already reset the portable monitor to factory default settings. Power-cycled both the deck/dock multiple times. Does not fix the issue

Issue seems to-be with the dock handling of certain setups. See also below.

- when connecting the deck (HDMI to mini-HDMI) via an Anker USB-C 341 hub to the portable monitor everything works fine
- when connecting via HDMI (dock) to DVI-D (PC monitor), everything works fine

@Valve, please fix the dock.

I disconnected the power and it worked for a little while and then disconnected.

I don't know if you found a solution, but I have a KYY monitor with the same problem and this article helped me get it working by enabling external display safe mode: https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/4C18-08B5-DEC9-3AF4

Developer settings:
To access this option, you will need to enable the developer menu. To enables this:

click the 'Steam' button > System > turn on 'Enable Developer Mode'.

Once this is enabled:

Click the 'Steam' button > scroll to the bottom and select 'Developer' > scroll down to turn on 'External display safe mode'
