How can I check the firmware version of my dock and confirm it has been updated??? Is there a way to bring the dock update back up?
My solution:
- Unplug everything (Controller, Power, Monitor/TV) from the dock and the Deck.
- Turn of the Deck. Wait.
- Plug in only USB-C Dock to the Deck (no power, no monitor).
- Start the Deck. Skip the prompt on the Lock-Screen and login normally. Now follow the instructions to update the dock.
- Should work this time, at least worked for me.
- After this you can reconnect all the other stuff.
I was able to get the update to work by disconnecting the power to the dock.
Still having issues getting a picture on my tv though
Hopefully Valve will post the current firmware version number in the provide updates release notes (such as in the Steam Deck patch notes) so this is easy to check.
Edited for clarity.
