Controller's "home" button while docked

When I have my steam deck docked, the PS or X button (tried various controllers, both wired and bluetooth) won't bring up the Steam button menu while I'm in a game. It just sort of pauses the game until I press another button. No Menu shows up. The PS/X button does function as a Steam button and work when I'm just in the Steam OS. The PS/X button while in-game also works when the Steam Deck is not docked.

My friend has a 3rd party dock and his wired Xbox controller will access the Steam menu with the center X button while in a game. So, I feel like this should work and am wondering if my Steam Deck dock is defective.

Anyone else having this issue?

I have the same issue but only on my Samsung plasma TV (PN42A450). On my monitor or bedroom TV I do not have that issue. Anyone knows why the Steam menu is not showing on that TV while in-game?
