I also opened a ticket with Steam Support for it, asking if the current beta might include a newer dock firmware than the stable release channel.... let's see what happens...
Mine was bought during reservation queue and it still doesn’t immediately detect HDMI and I have to disconnect the PD cable to get a signal.
Am I supposed to enable storage mode while still plugged in?
I believe I only reset it just once (but that could've been when I was re-arranging my setup).
Ever since I got the dock connection to our Samsung "The Frame" has been hit or miss.
Recently it seems to have gotten worse and there's days I can literally try anything and not get a connection. The Switch and Playstation never had so much as a hickup.
Same here, Samsung TV seem to be the worst, right now. Don´t no what to to do next.
You are not dumb at all. HDMI is created by the same genius who created the sony rootkit. The same rootkit that messed up many Windows machines. They had a bright idea and inserted digital right management into a damn connector standard. Yes, your TV has DRM and you TV will reject signals thinking you are a pirate for playing your legally own games. How do I know? After every damn TV firmware update, the TV will forget that I am a pirate and work all the sudden. Complain to your TV manufacture. Their HDCP DRM is broken on default. Tell them to allow displayport because HDMI just doesn't work.
I have the original dock, tried different working cables and ports.
I get everything else to work fine on my Philips 65" 4K TV.
Steamdeck via dock just says no.
