FSR/Scaling Filter Supersampling

I could be wrong but this feels like it should be possible to implement. If you set the internal resolution to 1920x1200 for example and the game's resolution to the native 800p then you allow upscaling using FSR, NIS, or any other upscaling technique from 800p to 1200p then downsample back to native 800p wouldn't the resulting image in theory be of higher quality? Please add this feature

I do this with games that support fsr by setting the game to a higher res, then enabling FSR in game back down to my native display resolution. Almost no impact for buttery smooth anti aliasing. Would be nice to have it enabled system wide.
