Update underlying Linux Components in SteamOS
We need some major updates to SteamOS. Some of it can be explained as staying on an LTS but not all of it.

Plasma 5.27.10. This should at least be updated to 5.27.12 which is the latest release of this LTS. Ideally though you should update to 6.3 when it releases next month. 5.27 released 2 years ago at this point. KDE doesn't seem to be doing LTS releases anymore either so it sounds like it is something you will need to switch off of anyway. This will start switching things to Wayland but honestly there are a lot of benefits to that.

Linux Kernel Version 6.5.0. This isn't even an LTS version. The closest there would be 6.6. At this point you should just update to 6.12 as that is both the latest kernel version as well as the latest LTS. I don't mind if we stick on LTS versions as it makes a lot of sense to do so but we aren't even getting that.

Does this have anything to do with my Razer keyboard no longer working after a few minutes in Desktop mode? When I first switch to my Steam Deck, it recognizes it via USB but after a few minutes, it no longer recognizes it. If I switch off of my switch-box and turn on Blue Tooth, it will work, but not via USB anymore.
I am not going to say no but it isn't as likely. Kernel bugs can affect pretty much everything so if there was a bug they fixed in a newer kernel version then it would address it but given the keyboard works at all the answer is likely no.
So I have been having issues with this. Is there a way to fix it so I can get out of 5.27.10? I’m even trying to download the new KDE but because it’s needing the discovery to open the download I can’t download.

Instructions or a how too would be great! 🙏

step 1: wait for valve to do it as it's the only option that won't bite you in the ass long term.
