Automatic offline mode

I had a power outage yesterday and I figured hey I can still play on my deck. Booted up and it complained about me not being online. So I enabled offline mode. Nothing launched. I'd heard that you have to be online to enable offline mode. So I used my phone to pop a hotspot for a minute and login then enabled offline turned off the hotspot and rebooted. Then most of my games worked (except EAs Titanfall 2).

I want this thing to automatically enter offline mode when it isn't connected to a network. I don't want to have to connect it to the internet to enable offline mode. It should just work right away when I turn it on.

Offline mode needs to be automatic and seamless. It makes it a lot less portable if I have to micromanage my network activity with it.

What's strange is that in my experience offline mode isn't even needed. I play offline all the time without issue, and not once have I enabled offline mode. I just turn the Deck on while out of range of any networks, and it works flawlessly.

Well thats interesting. Maybe its supposed to and its just not consistent for some reason.

Someone posted on Reddit that they had to buy wifi on a flight to be able to play their games which is ridiculous. The deck should know that you own your games and DLC in offline mode.

Steam has always required that a game be launched at least once while online before it'll let you launch it in offline mode, so it's no surprise that that is true on the Deck as well. Not saying it isn't annoying, just that it's not surprising.
