Default text editor for desktop mode
As far as I could tell the default text editor is vim. While I like vim for my needs on my desktop, I think here something else might be a better default option. Although a different editor can be installed through Discover, most users needing to edit config files etc. are used to Windows or Mac and are probably expecting some basic GUI type editor to to be default.

Kate is the default KDE editor, they should add it...

Kate is kind of more oriented towards developers, they should have KWrite instead. Simpler for simply changing a few text files.

Kate is pretty good for simple stuff as well
