Disable haptic beeps on wake up, or make them configurable
Whenever Deck wakes up, it makes a triple beep that is actually the haptics vibrating. This makes a noise that is quite loud, especially in an otherwise silent room. The noise can wake sensitive people from sleep and briefly annoy others in areas where electronic noise is forbidden (ex: public library).

Here are a couple upvoted reddit threads begging for a way to disable the sound:

Since many assume the sound is from the speakers, I'd propose an on/off setting called "Haptic Beep on Wake", which is enabled by default. I would not recommend auto-setting based on system volume, as a user could wake the device before muting sound or plugging headphones in. Alternatively, maybe the haptic beep should only occur on boot, not wake.

I agree! They are troublesome, when my parents have enough trouble sleeping as-is without my turning on a steam deck making extra noise!

Valve please take notice;

Super annoying, wakes up spouse in bed.

Seems like a simple option fix -- in Bios if needed? Let's go.

Thank for this thread, i would really appreciate the ability to turn this off as it can be more disruptive than expected. An option next to "turn off ui sounds" would be great!

The wakeup beep is gone, I am very thankful for the update. It might have been only a minor annoyance but they do stack and having one less of them is always a good step forward
