Touch sensor ?
If possible ability to long press on screen as a control like say in the keybinds you could have touch screen long press ? Like say hold fingers for 3 seconds it wil switch weapon or long press for 5 seconds a menu pops up? If this isn’t possible again please let me know since not sure how the touchscreen functions actually work

I think Steam Input doesn't see the touchscreen as being part of the same controller, or even a controller at all...

touch as an input must be enabled by the game developer in steam input configuration. Of course the game needs to have steam input support.

No, you can do it yourself, and likewise you can set flickstick without messing with touch; creating a good default controller config is just something it's recommended for devs that wanna provide a good experience to their customers, unfortunately many devs just half-ass it, and many of the templates that come with Steam don't account for individual peculiarities of the game play of many games and just cover the basics, so for the best experience you need to tweak the settings yourself, or if you're lucky just switch to a ggood community-shared setup some other player already created.

Steam input support means integrated steam-input API into the game, which lets rebind controls straight from the steam input menu.

I'm talking about the system that lets you remap various controllers into virtual XBox controllers.

Oh, sorry, I think I mixed two threads, lemme re-read things here a bit more carefully to double-check

Yep, forget all the flick-stick talk, that's another thread, sorry.

Anyway. What I was originally saying is that the touchscreen is seen as a separate device, and not a type of controller, so the system Steam has to remap controller input doesn't know about it, and might need some bigger reworking to be able to merge two different devices and to accept non-controller inputs.
