Steam Deck Wake Up Via Bluetooth
I really wish that the older models would receive an update that allows the deck to wake up via Bluetooth. Is an update possible for this? I know there was another forum discussing this but I want to ping this to hopefully get this feature 🤞

The SDOLED has a bluetooth chip that stays powered on while the Deck is asleep. The LCD models cannot do that. It's a hardware limitation. Impossible to update it with that functionality.

I believe that the LCD model has Bluetooth 5.0 where the OLED has Bluetooth 5.3. From my understanding, the only real difference between these chips are longevity of power and range of connectivity (along with other things of course but these being the big two things). I think that this function was disabled on the LCD to increase longevity of power in the Deck, but this could be changed in a firmware update. I could be totally mistaken, but thought it would be worth a shot putting this on the forum

The issue actually has nothing to do with them being 5.0 vs 5.3 but rather with how the chips are physically integrated onto the board. The LCD has a combination WiFi and Bluetooth chip that gets no power when the Deck is asleep. While the OLED has a dedicated bluetooth chip (separate from the WiFi chip) that still receives power in order to read bluetooth signals while the Deck is asleep. They are built completely differently and there is no way for a software update to enable this feature on the LCD models.
