Performance Overlay new setting : Battery Life

When going portable, I think I really need a Battery Life icon and percentage to tell me how much power I have left. I know there's a critical warning when power is low. I know I could hit the steam button or the performance button to bring up the battery life at any time. But I'd like to how much power I have left throughout the playtime.
