Different Recent Games on PC and Deck
I'd love an option to have different Recent Games lists on PC and Deck. Right now, the list on Deck is only showing games I've played on Deck (what I like and prefer). But on PC it is mixed.

I play different games on Deck, which are mostly not even installed on PC and vice versa. That's why I want to keep the lists seperate. I ask for this as an additional feature, so that others can use combined Recent Games lists.

The recently played listed is bound to the account. Since the Deck essentially registers as another PC to Steam, that's why it shares the list.

If you don't want to see games you don't have installed, just select the "Read to Play" filter and it will only show recent games installed on your PC.

I just made a list of favorites for the deck where I throw what I choose

Thanks, but the filter has no effect on the recent games list.

Thanks, but that doesn't change the premise, that I want to quick launch my last played games on each device from the recent games list.

Your issue is it showing games you do not have installed on your PC correct?

Because the suggestion I gave literally hides the games that aren't installed on your PC while keeping them in the recent played order.

The deck is registered as a PC. Steam will treat it like your PC.

Yes, it shows games played on deck that are not installed on PC. I'm not saying your suggestion doesn't work, but it filters just all games in the list on the left. The recent games in the center collection cabinet are not filtered.

Oh, you're talking about that.

If you set it to display "last played" and have the left side only show "ready to play" it will only show installed games on that machine as well.

As I said, no it won't. Can't do more than filter for

Yes, I talk about that recent games list and as far as I'm concerned, there is only this one.

You can't set "recent games" to show "last played", because "recent games" is already the list of last played games. It's a default list from steam that you can add to your cabinet. You can't even sort that list like other collections, because it's purpose is to show recent games. I just don't want to see on PC, what my recent games on deck were. The filter above the left list only filters the left list.

Thank you for trying to help, but the filter isn't the solution here.

I literally changed it on my PC and it doesn't show the games from my Deck.

Selecting the 'ready to play' option applies that filter to the shelf in the center. I'm literally staring at it right now and it is showing nothing the I've played on my Deck.

In fact here's a screenshot[imgur.com] showing it in action. I have only played Huntdown and Eldest Souls on my Deck, they are not installed on my PC.

and here i want an option to sync up the desktop and game mode's/BPM recent activity on the home page since they are different between the two modes and will only show activity from the one machine.

Your screenshot only shows the left list in action, which I am NOT talking about. You don't even have the recent games activated in the sheleves.

Here we go....

Hogwarts Legacy is the last game I've played on PC and which is also installed on PC. Newer games are from the Deck and not installed on PC. I'm NOT talking about the list on the left and I also don't want to apply a filter every time I start steam. That's not the idea of a quick launch. I appreciate your help, but if you not have a solution for the recent games shelve, then please leave it be now.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Look at the little circle at the top right of the list on the left.

I want you to really look at and and pay close attention to how it's different in the pictures I posted.

Now(this is where you might struggle) notice how the button changes and how the games displayed to the right of the list also change.

Do you see that? Because that is literally the simplest way I can explain it.

It also doesn't need to be applied every time you launch Steam. I literally shut my PC down daily and that setting stays just like I left it.

Dude are you trolling? Look at my screenshots! I've activated your little button at the top right of the list on the left. (Not that I haven't tried all this before I posted this feature request.) I also marked your little activated button with a red circle (third picture). And yet there is an uninstalled game on first place on the recent games list in the middle of the screen jumping right in your face! You don't even have to pay close attention for that. But I have marked it for you anyways, I've also applied the filter from the filter list and posted it as screenshots (picture one and two). You are struggling to understand that i'm NOT talking about to filter the list on the left!!!

Again.... https://imgur.com/a/Yf3Sn8r

Picture 1 and 2 are showing the filter applied from the list.
Picture 3 shows your activated button.
All games showing prior Hogwarts Legacy (except Spiderman) are not installed on this steam client.

You don't even have the recent games shelf activated!!!

You're missing a button being activated. Look at my screenshots again.

Ah, I see. Selecting the shelf to display "All Games" does what you want.
